Super cute DIY Easter egg basket that you can make for DIY gifts, treat bags or as Easter decorations. This is an easy paper basket making craft that you can make along with kids as it is an amazing Easter craft for kids as well as for adults. We have made this Easter egg basket using some cardstock and decorated it using polka dots and bow cut out from regular colour craft sheets. Hence, this is an ideal Easter craft idea when you have limited or basic craft supplies such as paper, scissors and glue.
So, let’s get started.
Materials Required:
- Cardstock
- Color Craft Paper
- Ruler
- Pencil
- Scissors
- Glue
Instructions:

- Draw and cut out the shape of egg on a cardstock sheet.
- Similarly, cut another egg shape cardstock of same size.
- Now, cut a cardstock paper strip of size 20 cm * 4.5 cm for the base.
- Cut out another strip of size 20 * 1.5 cm for making the handle of the Easter egg basket.
- Take the strip cut out for the base and make a crease of 1 cm from both edges length wise.
- Cut small triangles along these crease lines as shown in the pictures below.
- Paste the base strip around the lower portion of the egg.
- Now paste the other paper egg on top to make the basket.
- Paste the other paper strip to make the basket handle.
- Cut out small circles in different sizes for decorating the basket.
- Similarly draw and cut out a small bow using the colour craft paper.
- Paste the paper decorations all over the basket.
So, here we have a beautiful Easter egg basket, completely handmade and using only basic craft supplies that you probably have lying around the house.
