You don’t need any fancy supplies or materials to make this craft because it is literally made from waste newspaper but looks super amazing.
So, let’s get started.
Materials Required:
- Newspaper
- Paint
- Paintbrush
- Glue
- A Pair of Scissors
Instructions:
Watch the video tutorial for making Newspaper Spider Halloween Craft for home decor.
- To make this amazing DIY Halloween craft / decor we will need a lot of paper tubes which you can easily make at home using old newspapers or magazine pages.
- Start by tightly rolling the paper from one corner and keep going till you reach the opposite corner of the paper. Use glue at the end to secure the paper tubes in place.
- Once you have made enough, take a paper tube and start rolling it tightly into a circle, slowly flattening the tube as you go.
- When you reach the end of the tube apply glue and stick another tube by slightly inserting it at the end.
- Keep going till you reach the desired size of the circle and then apply glue at the end to secure it tightly.
- Now slowly push the circle from the centre moving outwards in order to mould it into a bowl-like structure.
- Now apply glue along the inner surface of the bowl so that it retains its shape once dry.
- Repeat the steps above to make a total of four such parts of different sizes to make the head, body and two eyes of the spider.
- Now coming to the fun part, we will use some acrylic paint to colour the body and eyes of the spider as well as a few more paper tubes which will become the legs and palps.
- Now that we have all the parts ready for our newspaper spider Halloween craft, it’s time to assemble.
- We will use small pieces of paper tubes to attach the head and body as shown below.
- Then we will stick the eyes, legs and palps of the spider and we’re done.

You can make this newspaper spider Halloween craft as big or as small as you like based on the number of paper tubes you use to make the circles. These spooky spiders are truly budget friendly and amazing for DIY Halloween décor.
