Hey Crafties!
This origami paper ghost is hands down the cutest paper craft that you can make for Halloween. Made with just a single piece of origami paper or craft paper with no glue or cutting required whatsoever. Although Origami (the Japanese art of paper folding to make 3D objects) sounds a bit intimidating at first, believe me it is quite simple if you follow the step-by-step paper folding instructions given below. And once you get a hang of it, you are going to love making this cute origami paper ghost over and over again.
So, let’s get started.
Materials Required:
- Origami Paper / Square sheet of craft paper
- Black Marker Pen
Instructions:
Watch the video tutorial for making Origami Paper Ghost Halloween craft.
- To make this cute origami paper ghost craft you will need a square sheet of craft paper. I have used 12 cm X 12 cm.
- Start by folding the paper diagonally to make a X crease as shown below.

- Fold 3 corners of the square inwards to align the corners with the centre point.
- Flip the paper and fold it upwards using the remaining corner from earlier.

- Now fold one side to flap out by aligning the crease to the middle line. Do the same on the other side
- Gently pull down the flaps and press to make the hands.
- Slightly fold the corners on the top to make the head rounder.

- Also fold the ends of the protruding hands downwards to give the impression of the origami paper ghost flying.
- Fold the lower part of the body inwards on both sides to make a narrow triangle type shape.
- Also fold the tail upwards as shown below.
- Now using a marker pen or sharpie draw the eyes and mouth of the ghost. You can make the origami paper ghost look cute or spooky by drawing the facial expression you like.

And this how you can fold an origami paper ghost by yourself. Wasn’t it easy…and fun? You can make this cute Halloween paper craft in any size and use it as a DIY Halloween décor or just make it a fun family craft activity for Halloween.
