Materials required:

• Cardboard
• Foam sheet
• Paint and brush
• Pencil
• Ruler
• Scissors
• Distress Ink
• Glue gun

Instructions:

1. On a cardboard, draw and cut out 2 squares of size 7cm * 7cm, and 2 rectangles of size 5cm * 7cm.
2. Paint all the cutouts using white acrylic paint and a paint brush.
3. Now for base, cut out a rectangle of size 5cm* 6.8 cm and paint it.
4. Paste all the above parts together to make cardboard box as shown in the pictures.
5. Cover all the sides of box with white foam sheet.
6. Also take a thin foam strip and stick it along the neck of the box to give it a more finished look.
7. Now, draw and cut out the cup shape or base of the cupcake on a blue foam sheet.
8. Also, draw and cut out two frosting layers for the cupcake, on a pink and yellow foam sheet as shown in the picture.
9. For the toppings, draw and cutout some sprinkles and cherries.
10. To make the cupcake look more realistic and 3D, dab some distress ink along the edges of all parts of the cupcake.
11. Now to decorate the box, first stick the blue cake cutout on the longer side of the box as shown in the picture.
12. Next, stick the pink and yellow frosting layers on top of the cake, as shown in the picture.
13. And then, stick the cherry on top and the sprinkles spread all over the yellow frosting.
14. To add more detailing, make vertical lines on the base of the cupcake to give it a more realistic look.
15. Similarly, decorate the opposite side of the box using craft foam sheet cutouts, and with that the cute cupcake pen stand DIY is complete.
