Looking for recycled material craft ideas for Christmas? This Plastic bottle Christmas decoration is what you’ve been looking for. Easy to make and looks amazing. You can make these hanging decorations for Christmas to decorate your homes by just hanging them around the house or outdoors or use it as Christmas Ornaments on the X-mas Tree.

Materials Required:

  • Waste Plastic Bottle
  • Scissors / Cutter
  • Coloured Tape
  • Marker Pen
  • Acrylic Paint & Brush
  • Thread & Needle

Plastic Bottle Christmas Decoration Materials

Instructions:

Watch video tutorial for Plastic Bottle Christmas Decoration.

  1. Wrap the tape around the plastic bottle to mark the edges for cutting.
  2. Cut a ring of around 1-inch width.
  3. Smoothen out the edges of the ring by gently moving it on the hot iron surface.
  4. From the leftover plastic bottle, cut out stars of three different sizes.
  5. Paint the plastic stars using acrylic paint.
  6. Punch 6 holes on the plastic ring to tie the stars.
  7. Using a needle and thread attach the stars on the ring as shown.
  8. Tie all the loose threads together to make the plastic bottle Christmas decoration.

We have used acrylic paint in pearl finish to colour the stars which makes it look really elegant. But if you want to make it more festive and brighter you can also use glitter to make the stars in this plastic bottle Christmas decoration DIY.
